Conservatory Restaurant

The Conservatory Restaurant overlooks the beautiful landscaped gardens and has been awarded an AA rosette for its fine cuisine. The Conservatory Lounge is ideal for afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks. A few paces from the Restaurant, Walton's Bar - a traditional village local, serves real ale and fine food. Private dining rooms are also available. Room Service is available 24 hours each day.

Restaurant menus change frequently and feature a wide selection of local specialities, as well as more traditional dishes.

Children's meals are available between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm daily.

There is no strict dress code in the restaurant.

Waltons Bar

Waltons Bar is A traditional Country Inn at the heart of The Crown Hotel and is a great place to meet up with friends. The River Eden runs close by and explains the fishing traditions of this comfortable bar. Our Inn Food menu offers an excellent choice at reasonable prices. Open to non residents.

Leisure Club

The Leisure Club is perfect for an invigorating start, for a day of pampering or to wind down from today's hectic lifestyle.

A 12 metre Swimming Pool, Childrens' splash pool, Whirlpool and Squash Courts*.

Two fully equipped air conditioned gymnasiums comprising all the latest Aerobic equipment plus Male & Female Saunas, mixed Steam Room and Solarium*. Exercise classes and health and beauty services* are available.

* There is a small charge for activities marked, all of which should be booked in advance.

Refreshments, swimwear, squash rackets and squash accessories are available in the Leisure Club. Towels are supplied in the Club. Lockers in the changing rooms.

Children under 14 must be supervised at all times by an adult who is responsible for them (only children over 14 may use the gym facilities).

Qualified staff are on duty at all times to offer advice and ensure the safety of all users.

The Crown Cottages are two delightful luxury apartments in the grounds of the Crown Hotel,

With one or two bedrooms, sitting/dining room, kitchen and bathroom. They provide all the comforts of home with a first class hotel on the doorstep. Guests are welcome to use the facilities of the Crown Hotel, including The Conservatory Restaurant, which overlooks floodlight gardens, Waltons Bar, a traditional village local and the use of room service. There is also the Crown's luxurious Leisure Club, which features a swimming pool, sauna, spa bath, squash courts, fully equipped gym and a steam room.

The Crown Cottages are available for long term let, or can be requested for shorter stays.

Weddings

The Crown Hotel offers beautiful surroundings for your special day.

We have a variety of rooms that are perfect for any size of wedding celebrations, from a wedding breakfast for 20 to an evening party for 150, and all our rooms have been granted a civil (wedding) licence to host civil ceremonies by Cumbria County Council.

Featuring 11 meeting and syndicate rooms including the Garden of Eden Suite, which can accommodate up to 175 delegates and opens onto the landscaped grounds of the hotel.
