The Macdonald Tickled Trout Restaurant serves the highest standard of Regional, English and International cuisine, using only the finest freshest ingredients. The restaurant offers an extensive wine list and a breath taking view across the River Ribble.

Our Menu includes prime quality Beef and Seafood, prepared by our Chef, who takes great pride in his cuisine. Vegetarian dishes are also favoured, plus lots more.

If you are looking for a light lunch or snack then our Lounge Bar can serve you a selection of sandwiches, scones and home-made cakes. With a relaxing atmosphere it is also an ideal place for unwinding down after a busy day. We have a good selection of whiskies and liqueurs to enjoy whilst admiring the view of the gently flowing River Ribble.

This room has picturesque views overlooking the River Ribble and can accommodate up to 60 guests for a formal reception and up to 100 guests for an evening buffet.

The Ribble Suite

With an enchanting patio area leading up to the banks of the River Ribble, with seating for up to 90 guests for a formal reception and up to 150 guests for the evening buffet.

River Room 2

A brand new room; part of a recent £4m refurbishment. Set on the banks of the tranquil River Ribble with seating for up to 60 guests for a formal reception and 80 guests for an evening buffet.

The Rainbow Room

This room is ideally suited for ceremonies for up to 50 guests and also for a more intimate wedding celebration catering for up to 25 guests.

Special accommodation rates are available for all your wedding guests. If you supply us with your guest list, we can send out accommodation rates and invites with pre-paid postage as an added service to take away even more of the stress involved in organising such an important event.

Perfect for business, the Macdonald Tickled Trout, Preston, provides the highest quality facilities and service. There is a choice of 11 suites that can cater for up to 120 delegates, each providing ample telephone, electrical and terminal connections and most a relaxing view of the River Ribble.

To help make your event a success we have a wide range of packages and facilities to suit all budgets. However, please be assured that your particular conference can be tailored to your individual requirements and our professional team will discuss every aspect in detail with you, prior to the event.

Our Day Delegate Package provides everything for your conference or meeting from start to finish. Tea/Coffee, Biscuits and Pastries will be served in the morning and your 2 Course Carvery Buffet Lunch served in our main Restaurant. Tea/Coffee and Doughnuts will maintain your energy levels mid-afternoon.

When your conference requires more time, or if you are looking for a business break, we can accommodate delegates with our 24 Hour Delegate Package. The rate includes dinner, overnight accommodation in a double room and full English breakfast, in addition to everything within the Day Delegate Package
Both delegate packages include the use of an overhead projector, a flipchart and stationery, with mineral water and boiled sweets provided. Both packages require a minimum of 10 delegates.

Combine business with pleasure and enjoy some of the outdoor pursuits that we can organise. Archery and Clay Pigeon Shooting are available for both the novice and the more experienced, the River Bank is ideal for management and team-building exercises, rally-karting or quad biking.
