Aldwark Manor is a splendid Victorian Manor house set in acres of natural park land, with the River Ure meandering through the grounds.

Commissioned in 1865 for Lord Walsingham as a wedding present for his eldest daughter, Aldwark Manor is set in 100 acres of picturesque parkland, close to historic York and Harrogate.

Incorporating an invigorating mix of old and new styles, the golf course, Reflections Spa and Leisure facilities and award-winning restaurant make Aldwark Manor a hotel offering maximum comfort.

The hotel has been extended, with the architecture of the new purpose built bedroom, conference and restaurant extension blending harmoniously with the existing Manor building.

The interior decor is very contemporary, providing a stunning visual contrast to the existing classical decor of the Manor House - joining the old with the new in a remarkable way.

All bedrooms have a private bathroom and are equipped with colour television with satellite channels, radio, direct dial telephone, hospitality tray and hairdryer.

Children aged 16 years and under sharing parents' accommodation are charged only for meals taken.

Children aged 16 years and under sharing with one adult or in separate rooms are charged at 50% of the adult rate.

Bedrooms

Aldwark Manor has executive rooms which have space for 2 extra beds for families. There are also suites for larger families. Supplements apply to upgraded bedrooms.

Baby Sitting

Marston Hotels use an agency for babysitting and at least 48 hours notice is usually required for pre-booking

Children - Leisure Facilities

The hotel has its own Reflections Spa and Leisure, which offers a heated indoor swimming pool amongst its facilities. Children are welcome to use the pool during the following hours:

Monday to Thursday: 9.30am - 12.00 midday, then 2.00pm - 5.30pm
Friday: 8.00am - 12.00 midday, then 2.00pm - 6.30pm
Saturday & Sunday: 8.00am - 1.00pm then 2.30pm - 6.30pm
Under 16 year olds must always be accompanied by an adult.

Children may not use the gymnasium, sauna or steam room.


Children's Meals

The hotel's restaurant opens at 7.00pm for Dinner, children can eat earlier, if required. This can be in the restaurant by prior arrangement, or in their own room. Children can choose from a half portion of the table d'hote menu or from their own menu.


Restaurants & Bars

The restaurant has been awarded 2 AA rosettes (dress code applies) and there is also the choice of the informal golfers bistro style bar restaurant and comfortable bar lounge. For those fine days, Aldwark Manor has a terrace patio overlooking the golf course outside the main bar and there are comfortable lounge areas for you to relax in.


Conference Facilities

Aldwark Manor also offers excellent conference facilities; there are 6 conference rooms with the largest room holding up to 240 people.


Golf

Aldwark Manor boasts some of the country's most picturesque golf scenery. The challenging 18 hole golf course surrounding the hotel is almost 6,500 yards long and is bordered by ancient oak and beech trees, offering an idyllic location for a round of golf.
