Peaceful and relaxing is the most common appraisal of Penmere Manor. Nestling in 5 acres of gardens and woodland about 1 mile from the historic port of Falmouth.

Penmere is a home away from home for many of our guests who get away from it all for regular and frequent visits. The comfort of our guests and their feeling of being welcome is paramount. All our staff, friendly yet unobtrusive, give professional and courteous service throughout.

Bedrooms

All Bedrooms are non smoking

Naturally, the 37 bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished, tastefully decorated and maintained to a high standard. All have bath or shower rooms en-suite, remote control teletext TV with satellite channels, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer and telephone. Housekeeping staff take great pride in their work, looking after their rooms as they would their own homes. Requests for extra pillows or blankets, a top up of tea or biscuits or attention to other special needs are met with an eagerness to please and make the guests feel at home.

Bolitho's Restaurant

Meals taken in Bolitho's Restaurant, named after a branch of the famous Cornish family who lived here from 1900 to 1948, are an experience to savour and remember. Dishes prepared with a love for food by our team of chefs and cooks make up a dinner menu featuring cuisine from traditional to exotic. Proud of the fishing and farming industries in Cornwall we source as much of our ingredients locally as possible.

Fresh fish is bought daily and availability is completely dependent on what has been landed that morning; beef, poultry and game are reared in Cornwall and vegetables when in season have been grown in the county.

Fountains Bar

Every day, for more informal dining and drinking, Fountains Bar is open from 10.00am until bed time - yours or ours, whichever comes first!. Offering a full range of drinks from draught beer and wine to cocktails and liqueurs, soft drinks and malt whiskies. Overlooking the terrace and the "Teardrops" fountain, it is a place to meet, a place to eat and a place to relax after a hard days exploring.

Fountains Indoor Leisure

Rest and relaxation is the name of the game in Fountains Leisure Club.
The indoor pool and Jacuzzi spa are both beautifully clear and blue, simply inviting you to plunge in and swim lengths or wallow in luxury. The pool is treated with UV technology and the Jacuzzi with Ozoen, so chlorine levels are very low, suitable for people with chlorine allergies and sensitive skin.

Outdoor Leisure

The outdoor pool, located in the historical walled garden, which used to be planted with soft fruit trees, is heated from May to September and its surroundings make a real suntrap sheltered from any winds.

Massage & More!

Massages, aromatherapy, facials, manicures, pedicures and much more are available in our therapy room. Karin Shipman is independently qualified to give these treatments and a full list with prices is available for booking sessions in advance, which is advisable.

Garden & Woodland

Outside, the terrace overlooks the croquet lawn and across the valley towards Falmouth Bay. Here, on warm days and balmy evenings, you can partake of that very Cornish tradition the cream tea; drink summertime cocktails like Pimm's or sip champagne.
