Bedrooms

The perfect end to a perfect day at Kilworth House Hotel is between the fresh-laundered linen of a period bedroom. A short walk up the elegant, curving staircase in the grand hall takes you to two Four-Poster Rooms and nine Luxury Rooms on the first floor.

Kilworth House's first-floor bedrooms blend antique furnishings with sumptuous fabrics and contemporary technology. These exquisitely decorated rooms with their adjoining palatial bathrooms offer guests a luxurious adaptation of nineteenth-century living.

Across the knot-garden courtyard lie a further thirty-three Garden Rooms, each furnished and decorated in a style that complements the stately traditions of Kilworth House.


Dining

The Wordsworth

The Wordsworth Restaurant is more than a room, it's an experience - one that has been central to dining and entertaining at Kilworth House for several generations.

This gloriously ornate restaurant with its vaulted ceiling, airy lantern, glittering chandeliers, and high domed fireplace is an instant spirit-raiser. Even the double oak doors with their delicate stained glass are an invitation to sample the elegant pleasures that lie beyond.

This is where up to 80 guests can dine from à la carte or table d'hôte menus. The table d'hôte menu changes daily, while the à la carte menu changes seasonally. The table layout is versatile, with larger or smaller groups easily accommodated.

One side of the restaurant, which has delightful views over the knot-garden courtyard, can be hired for private events.

Orangery

The outstanding architectural feature of Kilworth House Hotel is its glorious star-listed Victorian Orangery. Now fully restored, the Orangery has become a destination venue in its own right – light, bright and airy by day, and glitteringly romantic by night.

That ever-changing light is the key to the Orangery's leisurely round-the-clock ambiance. At any time of day the mood feels right: for morning coffee, a light lunch, afternoon tea or informal night-time dining.

Up to 130 guests can dine beneath the Orangery's ceiling of glass, timber and ornate wrought iron. Here, the maximum table size is eight, while the table layout is flexible enough to include soft furnishings at times when the restaurant is less busy. That means that during the day and on mid-week evenings, you can round off your Orangery meal with a pot of coffee in the nearby easy chairs.

The relaxed informality of the Orangery is reflected in the choice offered by its own Orangery menu.

Fishing

Spend some time in the county, and your thoughts probably turn to fishing. No problem at Kilworth House because our well-stocked lake offers excellent sport.
Common carp, mirror carp, perch, roach, pike, tench and bream populate this expansive and delightfully landscaped stretch of water. Many birds also call the lake their home, so there's plenty to keep you occupied while you wait for a bite.

For the real enthusiast, fly fishing is available by arrangement.
