Meeting Rooms

The Hotel has 5 meeting rooms and 3 rooms used for Private functions ranging from 8 - 90 delegates. 4 of the meeting rooms are located 20 metres opposite the main hotel in No 56. Riverside Business Centre that overlooks the River Thames. The remaining 4 rooms including the largest function room the Princess Suite are situated in the main house.

Sir Christopher Wren's House Hotel is located in the heart of Royal Windsor. The hotel overlooks the River Thames with Windsor Castle nestling in the background and is a perfect venue for your special day, giving brides the option to arrive in style on board our river carriage. The historic Grade II listed Georgian Country House is the original home of the famous British Architect, Sir Christopher Wren and provides a charming, ambient and beautifully atmospheric venue for your wedding.

The hotel is located in the heart of Royal Windsor, overlooking The River Thames with Windsor Castle nestling in the background, providing the ideal location for the big day.
We have 3 exclusive suites licensed for civil ceremonies. The Princess Suite is the larger of the two rooms with a capacity for up to 100 guests. Overlooking our riverside terrace and the River Thames it provides a beautifully presented room with period features, rich furnishings and large glass doors that can be opened onto the Terrace.

The Oak Room is ideal for intimate ceremonies seating between 8 to 16 guests. It provides an historical setting with fine oak panelling, eclectic wall carvings and beautiful open fireplace. Both suites are decorated with floral displays in the colours and design of your choice.

The Pavilion has a capacity up to 40 and is perfect for wedding receptions as it opens onto our terrace overlooking the River Thames. The Pavilion is light and airy with a modern feel, perfectly suited to a summer wedding.

How to find us

By Car:
From the M4 Motorway

Exit the M4 Motorway at junction 6* and follow the signs to Windsor Town Centre. This will take you onto an elevated bypass. Take the first exit off this road (Windsor Leisure Pool will be on your left). At the roundabout take the first exit, continuing to follow the signs to Windsor Town Centre.

Pass through three sets of traffic lights to the next roundabout (by the King Edward Court multi-storey car park). Take the first major exit on the left. Continue under the Railway Bridge and follow the road round to the right (Browns Restaurant will be on your right and the River Thames on your left).

You will come to a pedestrian crossing and immediately after this turn left (before the Bell and Dragon Restaurant). This is a pedestrian precinct, with access only permitted for hotel guests on the left-hand side.

From the M40 Motorway

Exit the M40 at junction 2 and follow the A335 to the M4 junction 6. Then take directions from * (above).

PLEASE NOTE - The hotels central location in the heart of Windsor means that we unfortunately cannot provide private parking. However, for the convenience of guests there are two public car parks situated within a 3 minute walk of the Hotel.

By Air:
The Hotel is 15 minutes from London Heathrow and 40 minutes from London Gatwick Airport.

By Rail:
The Hotel is a 2 minute walk from Windsor Riverside Station (South West Trains) - A 40 minute direct service from London Waterloo and 5 minutes walk from Windsor Central Station.
