Take the ten minute drive from Stoke on Trent's City Centre to the Tollgate at Blurton and you could be in for a surprise. During the 27 years since the Tollgate first opened its doors as a squash club, a great deal of work has gone into developing a leisure and hotel complex that its owners justifiably claim as having a range of facilities that are unique in North Staffordshire. The individual attention clients receive from staff is a major benefit for members and hotel guests.

Privately owned by the Oldfield family, who originate from the North Staffordshire area, Tollgate Hotel and Leisure has built a reputation for service and in addition to its popularity with members, is used by many local companies as well as the Staffordshire Police and Fire Services. Several major national businesses, such as Barclays Bank, hold corporate events and memberships at the Tollgate.

During the cricket season (March - September) many guests love to bask in the sun with a cool drink whilst watching a cricket match.


Bar and Restaurant

Unwind in our comfortable bar areas, where we have an excellent choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

There is also a mouth watering selection of meals and snacks available in the restaurant where choice dishes are made from the finest market fresh ingredients. There is usually at least three daily specials dishes to keep the palate of long term guests satisfied.


Sports Bar

Our fully air-conditioned "Sports Bar" area provides for those who wish to take refreshment between exercises or activities. Fantastic sporting memorabilia from such legends as Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Michael Schumacher, Pelé and Sir Stan Matthews adorns the walls, many of them hand signed.

Junior members of the family are welcome and the provision of a family lounge in the leisure suite allows the bar to maintained as an adults only area, where the grown-ups are undisturbed by the exuberance of youth!


Function Room & Conference Facilities

The Tollgate makes a perfect venue for private functions, with its own bar and disco dance floor.

Two conference rooms are available and there is extensive FREE private car parking


Snooker

Many members, both male and female, enjoy the snooker room, where several tables are available for use at any time of day, while others relax in the hotel bar or restaurant, where there is plenty of variety in the menu and choice of beverages.
