Your hosts Mark Watson and Lorraine Fielding and their staff offer you a warm and personal welcome to their luxury country house hotel set in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park close to the market town of Dolgellau, where Mid Wales meets North Wales.

Our hotel is perfect for just chilling out, enjoying good food and wines or if you want to be more energetic we can offer a multitude of activities including mountain biking, fishing, walking, golf and pony trekking.

Accommodation

Whether you wish to stay for a night, a week or hold a house party, we are confident that Penmaenuchaf Hall will cater for all your requirements with a blend of dignity & style, supreme comfort, and an abundance of outstanding qualities.

Each of our fourteen bedrooms boasts wonderful views out to the Mawddach valley and mountains beyond, the landscape gardens and the wooded hillside, the herb and sunken gardens. The rooms come in all shapes and sizes, the big being huge, the smaller being warm and cosy.

All rooms have in common exquisite furnishings, luxurious drapes and 21st century amenities throughout.
Bedrooms are serviced twice daily to ensure your comfort and fresh fruit baskets and sweet platters are offered along all bedroom corridors.

Restaurant

We are sure you will be delighted with the superb food prepared by our talented, award winning chefs, of whom we are justly proud.

The Chef de Cuisine and his team produce "Modern British Food" with an emphasis on lightness and simple, careful presentation.

Fresh produce and herbs from our gardens combine to create exceptional cuisine which will be one of the highlights of your stay. To complement your meal we have assembled an extensive selection of wines from various regions around the world.

The elegant candlelit dining room has tables draped with heavy cloths and topped with fine linen, crystal and polished silver cutlery. The tables are always adorned with fresh cut flowers.

The Hall

To step into the main hall is to step into a country manor from times gone by. Polished oak floors and panelling, sumptuous rugs, jugs of fresh flowers and a blazing log fire - you will be eager to see more.

The Library

Leather sofa, deep set armchairs, oriental rugs on seagrass, writing table and, of course, books, set the scene in the richly decorated library. Perfect for relaxing with a good book or writing a postcard or two.

The Morning Room

The sumptuously furnished morning room enjoys the morning sun and has outstanding views to the Rhinog mountains across the Mawddach Estuary. Perfect for relaxing with a pot of morning coffee or relishing a traditional Welsh afternoon tea.

While away your time in our billiard room with its magnificent full size antique table, breaking occasionally to visit the 'snug' - our cosy fabric lined bar.

The Hotel is licensed for Civil Weddings and Civil Partnerships as well as being fully equipped for corporate functions.
