The colonial style Windmill bar offers a relaxing place to chat with friends by the log fire and enjoy real Island ales amongst the locals.

The Gallery has an eclectic mix of paintings depicting amusing village scenes, yachts in the local harbour and modern abstracts, all from local artists, where guests can sit and sample some of the delicious dishes from our bar and gallery menu.

Enjoy lunch or dinner, a light snack, or fresh lobster and fish from our blackboards, washed down with real ale or even champagne on that lovely summers day and finish with a little stroll to the sea where you can catch glimpses of the local fisherman or the grand liners cruising in the distance.

Function Rooms

The Windmill Hotel can host functions from weddings and birthday celebrations to conferences and seminars. The Windmill has seating up to 100 persons in a range of table layouts and a wide choice of catering options.

During the warm summer months, events can spread out onto the Hotel gardens and private parties can be designed to your personal requirements. There is sufficient garden space to add a marquee if required.

Location

Bembridge Harbour was a significant South Coast port in the middle ages and known as Brading Haven, which extended into the Isle of Wight by a mile and a half enabling the area to prosper from local fishing and commerce.

The quiet village is on the Isle of Wight's most easterly point, sprawling from a wooded harbour to the downs. It is popular with sailors, having a small harbour lined with houseboats on one side and with a steady succession of yachts coming and going.
