This 'B' listed building in one of Glasgow's most sought after Victorian Residential Terraces combines comfort with historic charm. The hotel overlooks the beautiful and tranquil Queens Park which was constructed in memory of Mary Queen of Scots on the site of the famous Battle of Langside in 1568. The hotel is a short rail journey from the heart of Glasgow and only fifteen minutes by car from Glasgow International Airport.

The property has been privately owned for over 70 years and we pride ourselves on the welcome provided to our guests by all our staff, a welcome for which the Scots and particularly Glaswegians are justly famous.

Ample free car parking is available on the street or on our private carriageway.

Accommodation

The Ewington hotel boasts 45 individually designed bedrooms ranging from King size suites to Chinese four poster rooms. All rooms are in keeping with the character of the building throughout this Victorian era property.

The bedrooms, many featuring period style furniture and furnishings, have all the modern comforts of en suite bathroom, colour television with satellite channels, radio, direct dial telephone, trouser press, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities, mini bars and 24 hour room service. All rooms feature modem points suitable for most standard laptop modems.

Many of the rooms offer splendid views over the historic Queens Park.

Functions & Events

A selection of suites are available catering from 2 to 100 guests. In this Victorian hotel, each of the suites has its own character and are tastefully decorated with the benefit of natural daylight and black-out facilities. This makes for the ideal venue for a Conference, Meeting or Function. A full range of audio visual equipment is available together with secretarial and interpreting services, video, fax and internet links.

Dining

This delightful award winning restaurant is popular with both hotel guests and local residents and is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We are renowned for our incredible Scottish Breakfast and our daily changing lunch and dinner menus. Our team of chefs offer a wide selection of cuisine using fresh local produce and all priced to bring music to your ears. Children are also catered for with their own menu. A wide range of wines are available from our cellar.

Adjacent to the restaurant is Minstrels Bar, a comfortable watering hole which offers friendly service with a relaxed ambience. The comfortable furnishings and jazz memorabilia make this an interesting place to visit for snacks which are available throughout the day together with traditional afternoon teas, coffees and pastries. You can select from a wide range of beers, spirits and malt whiskies.
